The Assistive Technology Room provides equipment to enhance the library experience for patrons with special needs. This room includes CCTV and a peculiarly designed workstation to offer a variety of features intended to help patrons with mobility, visual, and learning disabilities. Additional assistive services include handheld magnifiers and magnicams.

Calculator Training Lab

Receive hands-on instruction on calculator skills, figurer applications, and accessing online services in Central Library's Figurer Grooming Lab during our computer and technology programs. Meet our program schedule for this month and next month.

Computer Assistance Desk-bound

The Computer Back up Desk on the 4th Floor provides personal assistance from Library staff for patrons using the library'southward Windows 10 computers. Staff can assist with learning estimator skills, accessing common online services, and using your personal device such as smartphone, tablet, or laptop to admission the library's online services and programs. Job seekers can also receive help from our Career Heart program at this desk during all open up hours.

3D Printing

3D printing equipment at Central Library includes a S5 Ultimaker Printer, a 3D Systems Cube Printer, and a Maker Navigator Printer. Meet at our monthly Makerspace workshops to acquire the basics of 3D printing from concept to creation. The Chris Gonzalez Collection

In existence for over 25 years, the Chris Gonzalez Library and Archives served every bit a place where LGBTQ+ people could admission materials specific to their customs. Curated by Michael Bohr, the library was comprised of over 7,000 titles, mostly from donations from customs members. In 2017, Indy Pride entered into a partnership with The Indianapolis Public Library to receive most of the volume and video materials, curate, and house them at Primal Library. IndyPL is committed to growing this collection to brand it more inclusive of people of color, women, non-binary, transgender, and lesbian/bisexual/queer/+ authors, too as people at the intersections of these identities.
